    Duck or drake

The duck in the first set of pictures and the duck on the left in the second set of pictures is the same duck. Her caruncles have grown a lot in the last month and a half. (again on the left from dec). They do have a pond to swim in. I was just feeding them some duck weed.

    Duck or drake

I think she is a year and half old. I’ve heard a couple hisses if I get close. She is on the left in the pictures below.

    Duck or drake

Hi, I was given a Muscovy duck to add to a small flock. They believed it was a female but it’s looking like a drake now. Any thoughts? Thanks, -Will

    Him or her?

Thanks for the quick response. They were free and I thought one might be a pullet. They are going do a bunch of vegetation and bug cleanup in a big fenced garden until spring, then may end up as soup.

    Him or her?

Hi. I have 4 Ameraucana chickens that are 5 months old. I think three might be male but one lighter coloured one might be a female. Any thoughts? The other three have a significantly bigger comb. Thanks.

When I get more ducks in the future I’ll be sure to inspect them more closely. She is feeding/foraging/drinking/swimming well which...

    Is this Bumblefoot?

I recently got a couple female Muscovy ducks and have them in a large orchard with our chickens. The whole area has grass and clover with mulch around the trees and a small pond. Today I noticed one of the ducks limping slightly and sitting down more frequently. I took a closer look and found...
