You don't buy the idea, because maybe you don't breed Ameraucana? Ameraucana breeders know what's is, and what's not.
And yes, none of yours are true Ameraucanas. They don't meet the standard. If they don't meet the standard, they aren't Ameraucanas.
It's a rooster. I breed blue ameraucanas. See the long tail growing? The pullets usually have small tail. That guy's comb is already starting to get reddish. And I am an expert :frow
When buying Ameraucana, folks who are breeders will tell you what variety it is. For example, they would say: "Black Ameraucana" or "Wheaton Ameraucana". If someone just says Ameraucana for sale, chances are they are EE.
Most Ameraucana enthusiast can provide info where they got their stock...
So, according to Edd Sheppard, he states that even clean face parents can pass off tuffs to their offspring. I wonder how many people who breed this breed can attest to that?
There are. Araucanas are bred to have tuffs and be rumpless. However, a huge portion of those hatched from Araucana eggs have tails and have no tuffs. Edd Sheppard, although he has been for years keep saying he is reducing his flock, has kept Araucanas that are tailed and have no tuffs...
Round two. Do a search on FB "Whiting true blue". See what images pop up. See attachments.
Beards? Possible.
Muffs? Possible.
No beards or muffs? Possible.
Ameraucana genetics? Highly likely 🤷🏻♂️
As you can see in my attachments via Google search of WTB, beards... 🙈
Local folks in my area have also shared photos of their WTB, and some have some, some doesn't and some have muffs too with bo beard.
Have you seen WTB stock lately 🤣. Some have muffs and/or beards. Murray McMurray are professionals at walking the gray line. Like their Ameraucanas they sell. They know it's Easter Eggers, but will falsely advertise them.
