Silver Laced Wyandottes - Pullets or Cockerels?

These would have been just over 3 weeks old! But I could see the same sort of feather growth at about 2 weeks old.

    Hey look at this stuff!

Hi everyone! I have an instagram page going the past week or so where I am posting my pictures of my chickens in my flock as well as giving little bits of info about each thing I can think of when posting ;) If you wanted to check it out do! Give me a like and a comment on it if you do! I...

Silver Laced Wyandottes - Pullets or Cockerels?

That's brilliant! You have been lucky so! :) It must be a feathering trait that pops up now and then amongst some of the wyandottes! I am going to try and incorporate those genetics into the rest of my flocks of SLW so that I can really get things going! :)

Silver Laced Wyandottes - Pullets or Cockerels?

Hello! They look lovely, but I understand the difficulty in telling them apart. I think I got lucky in my source of SLW because it has become easy enough to tell them apart based upon their feather growth. The first image is a female where you can see the wing feathers are more developed and...

I have been obsessed with chickens since I was a child, primarily I think because I found out dinosaurs were extinct and the closest things I could get to them was these feathered descendants.;) I currently have one big run with a mixture of layers but my goal is to divide...

    Silver Laced Wyandottes

I have a few more photos here of them! To me it has been quite a pronounced difference for the past three weeks or so, with the maybe cockeral having a red comb and different feathering pattern.

Mine are not as developed as yours, are they bantams? I have the Large Fowl variety.

    Silver Laced Wyandottes

Hello, I have started hatching a couple of batches of chicks. But some are reaching an age where I am just guessing. I have a few photos here, of the first three I have hatched this year on the 2nd/3rd of June putting them at seven and a half weeks old. I think I may be lucky and have two...
