    Day 15 Eggs Wiggling

    I’m not new to hatching but this is a first for me. Using a Brinsea Maxi II Automatic. Temp and humidity show proper (99.5° and 45% humidity). My concern is today is day 16 and eggs are wiggling! Lockdown isn’t until Monday morning so I’m wondering if I should lockdown sooner for early hatch.

    UPDATE ... IT HATCHED Hatching egg pipped 30 hours ago. Small progress other than to now have its beak out biting air for last 6 hrs. I’m familiar with assisting, but only with malpositioned and wrong end pips. Advice appreciated

    Umbical Hernia ???

    Baby chick born on Easter with what I think is an umbilical hernia. It had the umbilical cord wrapped around one leg which I clipped. It is separated from others in clean brooder. Any advice on if this can be treated would be appreciated.

    I purchased 16 eggs and shipped from a breeder in Maryland. I’m in Michigan. Very happy with this hatch. Great air cells and clean eggs just not sure what I got. He sent 18 and I hatched 14. They’re suppose to be silver laced chocolate, mauve, and blue. ???
