All chicks hatched with fused toes.

I purchased hatching eggs from someone that has a very "sought after" line due to egg color. I ordered a half dozen because that was the max amount you could purchase. All 6 hatched and all of them have fused toes. A couple only had it on one foot but the others have it on both. I cut them early...

Chick leg issue or does it need more time?

Hey how is your chick doing? I have one that looks the exact same as the videos you posted but it's only about 3 hours old.

    NR 360 Humidity

Dealing with this right now myself. I did my first dry hatch with the NR 360 because I was so sick of dealing with the humidity it was either too low or ridiculously high. We live in TN so my humidity has stayed around 40%. You can fold up a piece of a paper towel and put it under part of the...

Air cell wobbly at Day 18...HELP!

Like hatch them upright? I have some "egg bras" that I cut out of a brown egg carton that I use to set them upright in the incubator for the first week.

Air cell wobbly at Day 18...HELP!

I had a shipment of Welsummers eggs, a majority of the air cells were detached so they were upright the first week of incubation. We are about to go into lockdown and I can see movement in all of the eggs but half of them seem to have a wiggly air cell still like you can see it giggle some. It...

    So disappointed in hatching eggs

I will say that I had a few eggs once that I didn't think were developing on Day 5 or 6 and decided to crack them to see if the yoke was scrambled during shipping. All of them were as I expected except for one and there was a tiny chick in there that was developing just like it was supposed to...

    So disappointed in hatching eggs

I feel your frustration!! Im in the exact same boat as you unfortunately. I ordered some expensive eggs from someone that had a very large following on social media. She was very nice when I placed the order and paid. All communication after that has been subpar to say the least. Eggs took over...

Receiving shipped hatching eggs has been a nightmare....

In the past month I have received/still waiting on 3 orders of hatching eggs. One took over a week to arrive (USPS) with broken eggs upon arrival, the other took 5 days and I paid 2nd Day Air through UPS, and the last one was supposed to arrive on 4/7 and hoping it gets here by 4/11 (USPS)...

Please help!! Chick that I didn't think was going to make it is still trying.

I have never had a shrink wrapped chick until this hatch, and there was no denying that this chick was shrink wrapped. I helped but tried not to overdo it. It was set up like concrete inside the egg. I felt like I got most the hard sticky membrane off of it last night but left him still half way...

    Still ISO Lavender Marans

You may have already found some by know but I just ordered Lavender Maran hatching eggs from Seeking Eden Permaculture. You can find her on FB. They shipped fast and she did an excellent job packaging them.

Make this make sense... (hatching shipped eggs)

Thank you, I am going to check the air cells this evening. This batch of eggs are dark and so it makes it harder to see inside. I appreciate your reply.

Make this make sense... (hatching shipped eggs)

Thank you for the reply! You make a lot of valid points, and I didn't realize that . I think I will candle and see what the air cell looks like and go from there. The ones I have currently are dark and make it a little more challenging, but I'll definitely give it my best shot. 😉

Make this make sense... (hatching shipped eggs)

The first time I hatched shipped eggs I had 100% hatch rate on 18 eggs. I truly believe it was beginners luck because I did NOTHING right. I didn't allow them to sit 24 hrs, my humidity was high, and I messed with them way too much (candling almost everyday ha ha). Obviously the next batch I...
