    Thank you! She was only 4 months old. I thought about a necropsy but it’s not in the budget right now. The liquid was draining from eyes and nostrils, thin and clear, like urine. If we lose any more though i think i will have to get one done. Thanks for your reply!

    Americana Silver chick

    That’s quite interesting to consider! I agree, there is a lot of gold, almost red, either side of the silver and on the breast. It’s not regular enough to be stripes so maybe that’s the splash. I look forward to watching how this chick develops. Thanks!!

    Is this called lavender or blue or silver? Any way, I’m insatiably curious what this chick might look like when grown. Does anyone with a similar bird have photos of the grown pullet? I believe she is Americana, from Mt Healthy Hatchery.

    🤣 That’s how 98% of my chick purchases happen…spur of the moment. I’m glad mine are on the way because after those pics 👆🏼 I almost need to go get some tomorrow.
