Something growing on roosters faces (mostly around ears)

Thank you, I haven’t heard or this before (I’ve only had chickens for maybe 4 years now), I’ll try the tractor supply store when I go out tonight and if not I’ll order online :)

Thank you, I did find mites. I’ve set up an area for them outside so they’re taking a dirt a bath right now and I’ll be doing a deep clean today. We were thinking it might be something fungal though and I was wondering if it would hurt to put some sort of cream on them? It’s alright if your not sure

Something growing on roosters faces (mostly around ears)

I was gone for a week on vacation and left my dad to watch my chickens, they seemed to be doing fine. Today’s the first day I got to see them and I noticed something around my roosters ears. These two live together and are separated from the other chickens. I don’t know what it is/what could...

    4 weeks old, gender guessing

Got these chicks from farmers market out of a mixed box, any guesses on boys or girls. It’s not a problem either way, I’m just excited:)

Please tell me these are all pullets!

I’d hate to be wrong but these three look like girls to me. I don’t see any rooster feathers and while I don’t have much experience with dark combs the two with yellow combs aren’t showing any pink which is a good sign! (Boys get pink much earlier and girls only start to get pink when they’re...

    This is a cockerel, right?

I noticed that when there are other roosters around some cockerels combs take longer to fully pinken out. Since the other roo you have is so bright looking it might be the more dominant of the two :)

    breed?

Your probably right about them being mixed, I don’t see why else so many different looking chicks would be thrown together in the same bucket (there were a LOT) now that I think about it

    breed?

    locally from a farmers market

    New Hen

So a little while ago I lost one of my hens to waterbelly, she was my first ever chicken :(. I decided I wanted to add a few more hens to the flock because I was down to 2 roosters (father and son duo) and 2 hens now. I was able to get 1 hen and ended up with 4 older chicks that should be girls...
