    Update on my fermented feed. I switched to using a larger 1-gallon container and am now using about 1/2 a cup of acv. It's going on 5 days now with no smell.

    @Bens-Hens, I do not have a hygrometer. I've been reading about them since you mentioned it, and I will be getting one. Thanks everybody. I'm thinking that my second try won't be so frustrating. I really appreciate ALL input whether good or bad so I know.

    The lid wasn't airtight. I am wondering about the amount of acv I put in though. I added one teaspoon to a one quart bowl. Maybe it wasn't enough?
