i am very new to chicken owning, and we got two light brahma chickens that we raise in our backyard in the city. Unfortunately one of them died a month or so after we got them. Now I spend as much of my free time that I can spare playing with him/her, and she seems pretty happy in the brooder...
They weren't acting weird in any way, and I put them in a temp. Cardboard brooder box. It was pretty warm so I didn't use the heat lamp. They are about three weeks old.
So I have these 2 light brahma chickens, and i put both of them in the garage for only 2 hours or so, but one just mysteriously dies when I got back. I only have two chickens, and I am new to chicken owning, and I am afraid that my other one would die. Please help!

One night I found that one of my chick was bleeding under the eye, then i saw the smaller one peck its eye. He seemed really frantic to get out of the brooder. Later the smaller one attacked him again. Is this normal behavior? If not how do i stop it? I only have 2 chicks and they're only a...
My 2 chicks are Cookies and Cream. I thought i'd name them that since they are both black and whitish light brahma chicks. Plus they seem to really like each other. :)
