    We have one half of our run with pine shavings and one half with beach sand.

    New member and new to chickens

    We just got our first chickens the end of April this year. Started with eight chicks and ended up with four hens and four roosters. Gave the roosters away. Went and got four Barred Rock hens and a rooster to go along with our four Leghorns. Never would have guessed that they would be so...

    We have a 8'x16' covered run. we have one half with pine shavings and the other half beach sand.
