That's a hen. At 1.5 years they might start slowing down and Oldhen is right, they aren't the best layers anyway. Mine is laying less than that right now, but it's hot here.
That's a pullet. She's getting ready to lay. See how her comb and wattles are bigger and redder than the one next to her? That's also why she's squatting for you.
The wattles are coming soon. At that age- that comb is a huge indicator. It'll get more red and the wattles will show up. They don't get the male feathering until around 12-13 weeks. Some people have seen trends on cockerels being slower to feather, but it's not always the case.
