Thank you for the response. That’s what I’ve been doing in regards to trying to keep her as comfortable as possible and keeping food /water near her. I’ll look into a sling!
Hi everyone.
I have a hen (two years old) who suddenly is struggling to walk. I’ve checked for bumble foot and her feet pads are clean and normal. I’ve checked for mites (none)
She will walk but she seems to kind of lean and if any of the other hens pick on her she’ll fall over to her side. Most...
I hope my girl is the same! There's some mixed reviews here so I'm just really hoping she's a girl and will continue to call her a girl. I love my boys but I cannot have another rooster lol
If she's a crowing/dominant pullet, will she lay? I ask because they're obviously reaching point of lay soon so should I watch for eggs to determine sex?
So I have a crowing hen?! I do have a rooster so s(he) does hear him crow. Could (s)he be copying? I REALLY hope rice is a girl because i love her soooo much.
This is Rice. Rice is about 16 weeks old and this morning I watched "her" crow. Rice is an Easter egger and was purchased from a local farm where I've gotten most of my hens from.
I've also added my Oliver egger (grey bird) who seems to have many curved tail feathers.
Thoughts?
