    May Hatch-a-Long!

    I set 34 eggs on April 16th. I candled them after 5 days and all but 3 was fertile leaving me 31. On May 6th they started hatching, and by the end of the day on the 7th I had 29 chicks from 31 eggs. I never dream I would have that high of a hatch percentage.     One of my 9 Buff Leghorns laid our first egg today!! They just turned 21 weeks old. Who said Friday the 13th was bad?

    Thanks for the information, that's 3 that think they are Easter eggers I am not sure how they will fit in with my Leghorns, but we shall see.

    They come from Ideal Poultry. They are all cockerels. Someone told me that they thought they where Ameraucanas also known as Easter Eggers.

    Can anyone tell me what breed these little guys are? I got them this morning with the 10 Buff Leghorn's that I ordered. The hatchery add them to the box for extra body heat during shipment. e
