So my bantam perkin was recently broody - we broke this behaviour but did let her go a month or so before intervening - she has been laying again regularly for Judy over a week.. Then today I found this monster! Can anyone explain??
Apologies for the late reply @myguy77 I believe she was close too 20 weeks - not very old at all.. She beat my Isa & perkin bantam - her eggs are light blue - ill see if I can attach a pic - and seem too get more blue / more white depending on where her cycle is.. I'm getting an average of 6...

Thank you :) this helps already... I already have an Araucana, a perkin batam & a isa laying... The sussex is roughly 17 weeks and the australop & maran are 9... My three new girls are currently in their own enclosure and being slowly introduced.. So it's a interesting mix
Hi all, I've recently purchased some new girls for my flock... An Austrolorp, a light sussex & a wheaten maran... I've found info on point of lay age for the austrolorp & the sussex but can't find any info on approx what age my maran will begin too lay.. Can anyone help?? Thanks!
