Duck issue please help
Ok here is what I’m starting. I bought the ivermectin sheep drench at 0.08% and the microcynAH for poultry. I have diluted 8 cc with 2 cc of the microcycnah. The hard part was catching her. I looked very carefully under her wings and vent for any sign of anything I can see with the naked eye...- yumachick2015

Yes this is a very interesting and sad case. Not one that I thought I would be posting about. I have a team of poultry vets going wow too. I will give her a shot because she is such a great pet but don’t want her to suffer either.- yumachick2015

I do that as well. I’ve had my chicken flock for 5 years and the ducks for 3 years. They get coops Cleaned weekly and they get there area sprayed monthly. This flock is so taken care of people are amazed.- yumachick2015

She doesn’t act like she is in pain but I’m she is uncomfortable and that’s why I’m on this thread and I have a team of bird specialists on it as well. It came on fast. Yes bought ivermectin and some other topical poultry ointment. Hope for the best. She is very active, social and eating and drinking. I will try the treatment and if I don’t see improvement in 3 days then I will put her down.- yumachick2015

We are in Arizona. She lives with her male pekin. Free roam in confided fenced area, has kiddie pool that is changed every other day. I am being told it’s a mite. The other duck and chickens they also live with are all fine. After researching there is a mite that can live the entire life cycle...- yumachick2015
