    Rebels going to freeze

I've never quite understood that. If I lock them up in the coop, where do the other birds go? I have three full grown chickens living in the coop now. I guess I could hand catch them and shove them in each night while holding back the other ones. Doesn't seem very organic.

    Rebels going to freeze

I've tried both of those. Broke my fishing net and they refused to enter crate.

    Rebels going to freeze

Hello. The last chicks I raised never got comfortable with me. I mean full on panic whenever I opened crate even after weeks. Never had a problem with my other birds over the years. They were hand-gentle before I put them outside. Anyway, outside the rebels went and despite me placing them by...

    MARYLAND THREAD!

Looking to rehome a bantam Old English rooster. He is not the snuggly sort, but doesn't show aggression. He's under a year old. He refuses the coop and sleeps in a tree overnight with some of his girls. We are near Catonsville, MD.

Hoping to re-home Old English bantam rooster

Very handsome, but not a snuggler. Less than a year old. He refuses the coop and only will sleep in trees at night. I'm not allowed to have a rooster in city limits, so he must go. We are near Catonsville, Maryland, Pretty boy is living in my bathroom until I find a place for him. Would anyone...

Chickens are not returning to nor roosting in their coop at night, and I'm not sure what to do.

I'm sorry if you've already explained this. If you put the new chickens in the coop for several days, where do the old chickens go at night? Mine are still at the stage of the big ones chasing the little ones. Which is fine. Free range, no one gets hurt. But if I put them together in a small...

One on one all the time.

I have two bantams about 6 weeks old that just won't stop fighting. I don't know what breed they are. The speckled one, who I think is a boy, is quite vicious. Hard pecks, chasing and feather pulling. Can anyone tell me what sex they are? I need another few days before I can put them outside...

Cockerel or hen with serious attitude?

Thank you. Wasn't sure on the lamp, it still gets cold at night here. Off it goes.

Cockerel or hen with serious attitude?

From TS marked as Prairie Blue Bell, 6 weeks. Is this enough to tell gender? Going on attitude I would say yes.

Another poster thinks I have a girl (top) and two boys. Can I bother you for a second opinion? I'll love them either way - unless they get tooo loud. :) Three 5-week old silkies. Appreciate your time - y
