Thanks everyone! I reached out on a local chicken page, and was told about a farm store in the next state (1.5 hour drive) that had a shipment of chicks. Spent a little over 3 hours Friday morning driving, but I picked up two Easter Eggers and a Rhode Island Red, all pullets.

Update: the smallest, weakest chick just passed last night, so we’re down to two. One that’s been healthy and vibrant from the beginning, and another that’s weak, with eyes mostly closed, back to peeping constantly and stumbling, that was off from the very beginning.
I’m not sure what to do at...
Update: I just gave the chicks their second round of Nutri-Drench today, after about 9 hours. And good news - this is the first time none of them are peeping insistently in distress! In fact, they were so quiet when I went in there, I was worried something had happened. But now, after their...

Rocky went broody for the second time this year, her first season. She was so insistent, I finally gave in...
Hi everyone! I’ve been a quiet lurker for a few years now, but finally joined! I’ve kept chickens for several years, starting a few years ago with barred rocks, RIRs, and wyandottes (buff and silver). A fox took out our last aging ladies just at the beginning of the pandemic, and we took a break...
