    Chickens are to live till 10 or older correct? I would think 5 or 6 is like 40 in human years. I don't know how long I expected them to live. I just didn't think it would only be till 6.

    Yeah she just randomly shows up. It's not the 1st time I had a bird randomly show up. Last fall I came home to find a peacock in my yard. I left her in the fence with the chickens and she stuck around ever since.

    That makes sense. She can fly really well, and the only time I've ever gotten close to her before she had to protect her chicks was when she was eating in the coop I crept up behind her and shut the door before she got out, because she is so fast.
