    Thanks, I took the fake eggs out and my egg production has dropped. The broody hens are off the nests but have yet to start laying again. I'll wait a few more days to see what happens.

    Can anyone tell me whether using fake eggs promotes broodieness? I've had my girls about five months (bought an establish 8 hen group). Used fake eggs to get them used to the new coup and laying boxes. Seemed to work well but have had three broody hens in the past two months. Good layers.
