  • You would probably need 3-4 cages (depending on the size of the cages)

Is there any chance you could text me some pictures? My number is 305 484 1162. Or possibly email, [email protected]

If my grandmother passes in the next couple days, I will likely becoming the weekend after next. If not, it could be as soon as this weekend.

As it stands now, I will be leaving from Gainesville, FL on sunday to pick up the birds on monday if that works for you.

Please consider the chickens spoken for, as I have already taken days off of work to get them.
Thus far you are the only one to respond to my post. I have placed ads on "Poultry Show Central" and a couple other sites. I don't mind feeding and caring for them for 3 weeks since I would do this regardless but I can't promise to hold them. On some of the other ads I promised to give them to the first one to show up. Contact me in three weeks and if I still have them then they're yours.

It will likely be sooner. I'll let you know when I have a solid date.
No, not close. I'm located near Campton, Ky. Might still be worth your time considering how much you would have to pay if you bought this many.

I will likely be heading to miami this coming weekend for my grandmothers funeral, she is expected to pass today or tomorrow. Would you be willing to give me a 3 week window to get over there?

Also, how many separate cages do you suggest I bring to transport them back?
You answered most of my concerns in your previous posts. I just needed to find a home where they will be kept as a pure flock. And someone who can care for them appropriately. If you want them they are free but you would have to come get them. Shipping would be prohibitively expensive and I'm not set up to ship anyway.

    Where are you located?

If you are somewhat close to florida I will definitely come to get them. I'm willing to make a road trip for them.
I have 7 that are 4 years old. 3 that are 1 year old. 4 that are several months old and 3 that are a few weeks old.
I have tried to hatch via incubator but the hatch rate is low. The first hatch was at 99.5 degrees and several had crooked toes. The second hatch was at 100.5-101. Still had a low hatch percentage but no crooked toes. Generally my hatches by hen were much more successful and the chicks were fine.
I have Black Breasted Reds and Pyle varieties. The BBR brood cock is around 30 inches tall and produces taller males than the Pyle. The Pyle is around 28 inches tall. Interestingly the Pyle hens tend to be taller than the BBR hens. Each variety is pretty much from its own line though I did add one hen into the original BBR line. I haven't had any issues with the "going down" issue that riboflavin is reported to help.

That sounds amazing, I really wanted BBR and hoped to someday find Pyle as well. I would love to have them. What would the next step be, assuming you are willing to send them? Do you have any questions for me?
What would you like to know? Send me a list of questions.

What is the range and distribution in age of the 17?

    What types do you have?

Are they all from the same line or have some been sourced from a variety of other breeders?

I've read about an issue specific to malay regarding the uptake of riboflavolin from weeks 12 to 14 and that adding active yeast to the feed during that period helps to resolve this. Have you experienced any issue regarding that?

Has it been your experience that a higher incubation temperature is helpful in producing healthier chicks (~102°F)?
