Hazel is out free ranging again today. Shes really good. She goes for a walk then back to her coop for something to eat. Dust bathes and does it all over again. Shes super good at free ranging so I hope she teaches the others one day.

My red stars (look just like Hazel) are almost 4 months and their combs are getting red! I can’t wait to see more fresh EGGS!

Aww! I cried about 3 years ago when Hallie, my one legged Easter Egger hen laid her first minty blue egg! Hallie (short for Halloween BTW) is the best hen I’ve ever owned!

Thank you! She lost one of her legs to my neighbors dog (on Halloween)!!! I was so mad!! Hallie can’t even free range safly at all now, luckily my rooster Buddy watches after her and won’t let anything (except me) even get near her when she and him are free ranging.

Ohhh I will for sure. I hate that shes alone at the moment but I have the chicks where she can see them and she checks in on them. But she has told 2 of them shes the boss and the lil light Sussex she likes.
