My primary concern is the feathered legs and leg mites. I am an rank newbie with regard to chickens, and although I'm not sure it's possible, I might actually study too much! 
Am I being paranoid to let that stop me? They do seem, in all other aspects, the perfect bird for my small backyard flock.
