Same here. Back when I had my SDOEG bantams not a single mouse dared come near my coop. Now, I have such a bad mouse problem that I have to keep my hens' treats inside my house! The mice climb the walls to get too my hens' treats and now they're ruining the hens' dish cloths! I've been thinking of trying that bucket trap I've heard of, but I don't know what to do. Mice and moles. :hmm

I feel you! :hugs

So far snap traps have worked for me. I haven't had any luck with the bucket trap, but that's because water inside is frozen and I think it is too far from the shed.

We'll defeat them together!

Yeah, snap traps have worked for me, but I don't want to use them in the coop. If I try using them outside, I'll probably either get a stray or the neighbor's cat's paw in it, so that won't work. :( I've heard that salt will keep the water from freezing, but I'm not certain how well that works.

Yes! I agree! We'll defeat them together!

Maybe you could put snap traps in a cardboard box with small holes or something? I'll check out salt! If that doesn't work then I'll try RV anti-freeze.

Wow! That's a good idea! I might try that! Thanks for the idea! :)

So, I couldn't get a box, but I thought of my chickens' cupboard to put a trap in. So far I've got three mice!! How are you doing with your mice?
