Can I ask you a duck question

Both of my ducks are limping and I believe it is from there dew claws, not sure if I spelled that right 
. The first one started limping a week ago, and when I looked at his feet they looked great, then I noticed that his dew claw had almost fallen off. It was hanging on by a thread so it just popped right off. The area looks okay. But he is still limping. Mostly hangs in his pool. Which he normally doesn't.

No the other duck, same thing. I looked at his feet they look good also. But his one dew claw was very, very long, and hanging half off. I'm afraid to rip it off, don't want to hurt him. I also have started giving them niacin, because I thought that might be the issue. They are 3 yrs old both male. I am at a loss here and am not sure what is going on.

Hmm, could I get a picture? @Isaac 0 knows a lot about health issues and injuries in ducks.

I did post a thread. Not much action. What exactly do you need a picture of. The reason I am asking is that they don't like to be held. But I will take some pictures.
