It's just that I thought it was a little weird for someone to comment on somebody else's profile when they just came here to BYC...

Profile posts are public. I'm not sure what you are trying to get at . This person never made an introduction thread! So I came here to welcome them. I spend several hours each night welcoming every single member.

Also let's end this conversation here because I don't want to make anybody upset. If you think it's okay good for you if I think it's odd good for me. We should respect other people's opinions

Umm.. what? Do you have some sort of personal requirements for greeters? Why is it so shocking to see someone welcome another member? That makes... no sense.

To me personally I just think it's odd that someone would click on someone's profile and say welcome...It doesn't make sense that everyone is telling ME it's normal or whatever since I've never seen this. And yes I have some sort of personal requirements for greeters. Plus people only usually greet other people here on BYC for a badge which is kind of dumb too.

I'm sorry, but you can't set up personally requirements. I go on some profiles to greet occasionally. Most of us do not greet for the badge, I did not at least. It really makes no sense to have expectations for a greeter.
