Misty is my quarter horse, she is 24 years old, she’s super sweet. She’s the one in my profile picture. Yes horses are amazing!! That’s cool you have a horse named Misty! What breed is she?

Awww! Misty is so cute! 25 years old! Thats awesome for a horse! You obviously take really good care of her. ☺️ My Misty is a 14 year old (we think) Grulla quarter horse. According to some friends, she might have some POA in her, but not entirely sure. I want to get a DNA test done some day. I love to run when I ride, Misty enjoys it as well. If so, whats your favorite type of riding?

Your Misty is older of course, but surely she's still young at heart. :)

Aww that’s awesome! I love galloping Misty too, she’s definitely still young at heart, she can run super fast, she enjoys galloping in fields especially. We have another horse, she’s a pony though, a Welsh/Connemara/Shetland mix and my sister usually rides her and we like to race them. Misty always runs right past her, it’s quite funny to see. 😂

I like to ride in English and Western saddles. I’m kind of split between the two. I really like both. But I also love to ride bareback, I’m still learning on how to center properly bareback, I’ve only done it a few times. What type of saddle do you ride in?

That is SO cool! Me and Misty are the same way! Lucy, our second horse, also a QH LOVES to run. She's super fast though. I wish I could race her, but I never win. ;) Misty is only 14hh, and Lucy is 15hh, so that makes it harder on Misty as well haha!
Its really adorable that a horse of that age still loves to run and win! I love it! She's obviously very happy and well cared for.

I ride in a Ghost Quevis. Is a treeless saddle that allows freedom of movement, and fit all horses. Kinda fancy. :p I had a lot of saddle fit issues for a long time, and we finally got Misty and Lucy Ghosts. I love them, and I think Misty loves her's to. Its setup like an english saddle, so I guess I ride english.

I love bareback as well! Its hard work though. I'm able to find my balance, but if I haven't done it in a while its really difficult. I rode bareback a lot when Misty had ulcers, so I had lots of opportunities to learn.

Oh I haven’t heard of those kind of saddles before but that sounds like a nice saddle. My Misty also struggles with getting the right saddle to fit her. So I might look into that type of saddle!

Saddle fit is tough! I took me over a year to find a good saddle fit for my Misty. Saddle after saddle. Western, English, soft saddles, I tried it all but nothing worked like the Ghost. She loves it and I love it to. They're pricey, thats for sure. The one I'm currently using isn't to bad, 900$ I think. Others are over 1000.
