    What would you guys recommend!!?
    Getting chickens as chicks and raising them, or get them as fully grown ready-to-lay chickens?

    I vote getting chicks and then raising them. Mostly because you can snuggle them and spend lots of time with them when they're younger so that when they grow up, they'll be nice and will like you. Plus, taking care of chicks is a great experience!

    But, if you really want eggs, then getting full grown hens would help you with that. I personally like waiting until my chickens grow up and anticipating the moment when they'll lay their first eggs better though.
