It is That’s so awesome! I feel like I don’t know anyone with the same name as me - it’s always Lilah or Kayla. Is anyone in your family Arab by any chance? I apparently got my name from my mom/grandfather because it means “Queen/beauty of the night” in Arabic.

You are the first person I've ever met with the name spelled even close to mine. We have that in common as well...my dad is Greek/Turkish, Leyla is SO common in Turkey. It means "Lilac".

Oh that’s so interesting! I have yet to visit Sudan to see how common it is there (where my grandfather is from), but apparently Layla/Leyla (and other variations) was the 25th most popular baby name for girls last year in the US. I think that must be due to Eric Clapton/Derek and the Dominos lol

Ikr?! When I was younger my teachers (and really anyone I would introduce myself to) would never shut up with that song once they knew my name. I was super shy so I would get very embarrassed about it too. I think I deserve some compensation for that!! My friend Georgia had to go thru the same thing with “Georgia on my Mind”
