This computer's battery is (forgive the fowl language) a POS. The computer crashes if you unplug it. I used to have a spindle-drive and its battery was a POS too - the whole computer was. It took AGES to load. So slow...

Is this a new computer you got? Replace the battery, and the hard drive sipindle-drive thingy if it's got one with a SSD.

It doesn't recognize batteries if you put them in. The spindle is not in use right now, and the only SSD's I've got are broken (one got its brains deleted, thanks to DeepFreeze, the other got corrupted).

My advice would be to save up and get a new-ish computer. 8GB of RAM and a decent SSD (Samsung is the ones I've used) should do the trick.
