No, we're two-three hours north of RGV, we're at the edge of their northern range. Our brushy area suits them nicely, quite a few around nowadays. I make bird suet cakes for the birds, but they scream at me when they're out

One each Bielefelder, Midnight Majestic Maran, Sapphire Olive Egger & Sapphire Splash, Barred Rock, and 2 Prairie bluebells. LoL, variety pack thanks to our "local" farm & ranch allowing special orders. Agonized over my choices forever LoL

Oh, our little ladies arrived yesterday 
, 2 bonus chicks?? 9 in the brooder, the sapphire splash was smallest and wobbliest (?) but seems to be doing okay now. And got to clean a pasty butt on one this morning 
. Nobody warned me that they are such greedy messy little piggies LoL, crumbles everywhere but in the feeder...
