I have 2 production reds one of them doesn't mind being touched but doesn't want to be picked up and they other follows me everywhere and demands to always be picked up
Also you might be thinking about Americanas there different types of those and that's another common way of saying Easter Egger
There Wheatin/Blue Americanas
My Australorp (the one with the completely black eyes )next too prince my rooster . She's hatching eggs right now. I should have chicks by June 9 and not sure what to do for her and they eggs this is my first time ever hatching eggs
So what I do is put the eggs and hen in a secluded area away from the other chickens, give her start and grow medicated crumbles when she has the babies, and then give her a small thing of water we usually use mason jars with a metal water dish, but you can use a small dish. You can also put woodchip bedding with her. You can get these from tsc.
Question my hen is hatching eggs *first time* she's a 1 year old australorp.
Day 13 of incubation under my hen and some of the shell came off will it survive?
