I am getting a new chicken!!! Her name is Hazel, and her flockmate died of a vent infection, (vent gleet or internal laying related). She is a black laced red wyandotte.

Bath and spa day today! It is the same temp inside and out, and they havent had a bath for months, it has been to cold. Cant wait to test their new non toxic nail paint! The girls feet are sooooooo dirty, and somehow nail paint keeps them cleaner. It is so usefull.

Onyx was broody! Look at that angry circle!!!
( I would love to have chicks, but I am not allowed to.) She is not broody now. I took away the eggs and moved her out of the nest box. She forgave me after some oats.
