Yes ma'am, that's correct. Wow, that's awesome. I'm on my 5th year raising them, 4th year actually breeding them. I have BB red and Silver duckwing currently. Looking to add white and blue.
I'll have to look into him, I need all the advice I can get so I can raise, and offer the best birds I can.

I'm down to talk as well, I also see you show, I'd like to ask a couple things about that. What colors of OEGB did you used to breed?

I do show! I show call ducks and wyandotte bantams. I used to breed barred, spangled, blue, blue wheaten, and wheaten. My favorites were the spangleds. You never see them at many shows I go to. They just have so much color to them.

That's awesome. Do you place well? So, I've never shown my birds before. Do I have to leave my birds at the show grounds over the course of the whole show? Do they need to have certain shots to be able to enter a show? Are there any requirements for showing? Sorry for all the questions. I've never done this before, nor did I know someone directly who did it, so I have a lot to ask. LOL.

Ahh, blue. I love Blue, I'm trying to find a breeder that has some nice Blues.
Interesting, maybe I should consider getting spangled. I've never even seen any for sale in my area.

I do tend to place well. Just depends on who's judging and who's showing. I got best waterfowl, best duck, best bantam duck, and something else at the last show I went to. Met a lot of new great friends. So, most of your shows are just a day or two long.

Coop-in is usually friday night and saturday morning. Coop-in is when you get your bird all cleaned up and ready for the judge. This time is for cleaning and putting your bird in its show cage. Then judging starts at 9 am at most shows.

If it's a single day show, the judging tends to be over around 2-3pm. Then after awards, you coop-out, which is just taking your bird out of the show cage and back in the carry cage you brought. Then the show is over!

Most shows require you to be NPIP certified, which is relatively easy to get done. The ag department will come out to your property and blood test and swab every one of your birds. The cost varies by state.

In Tennessee, we pay a flat fee of $75 no matter how many birds. In other states, they charge per bird. Some shows have a pollorum tester on site, so you can get in that way too. Only other requirements for showing are healthy birds and paying your entry fee.
