Oh my gosh I’m so sorry! I’m praying for a fast smooth recovery for Envy and that the chicks aren’t traumatized. I hope your family and home has not been damaged beyond repair
Envy began clucking again and her feathers are regrowing fast, The chicks are in shock unfortunately, two don't make much noise but they eat and drink fine, My Roo has been extra scared of rain and now immediately calls everyone inside as soon as he sees water dropping from the sky, he's traumatized the hens might get hurt again ♥
Ah no I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope that time will heal everyone. Have you tried posting for advice or looking at threads? Maybe there is some good advice out there on how to help them overcome this.
I have looked at threads, we are treating the chicks for shock, keeping them in the pen and holding out worms for them, one already got out of shock so we are hoping the other two will overcome the fear soon. Branches from fallen off trees fell on all of them while the wind was blowing, they are being treated very well, it's just Envy and the two chicks that are taking a longer time to recover ♥
Aw poor dears! I have no doubts they’re in good hands with you Give them all extra worms for me tomorrow and stay strong, they will get through this! Let me know if you need anything.
The two chicks seem to have gotten out of shock fast, because just right now they were chirping and eating worms and following the Roo around, Envy is very cautious still, she started going on the roosting bars more now which is good because she wasn't on them before. Obviously she stopped laying but we expect she will make a full recovery
