Hello- I'm new here and had some questions about Buff Orpingtons. I will be receiving my 15 week old pullets in about 4 weeks. I think these chickens are adorable. I was under the impression that they were great layers and affectionate, loyal pets. I noticed a comment you left on the Orpington breed page, implying that they did not lay through the winter. Are all of your Orpington's this way, or just some? Do you get a lot of eggs from them? I'm getting 8 and I have a family of 4. I kind of wanted a great layer. Also, do they really make great pets?
