I am doing well, as is my flock, and I am getting more eggs now as well. I'm glad spring is finally here! The warm weather feels so good! I'm currently working on 2 new chicken tractors to use as breeding pens for my d'Uccles this summer. No, I will not be incubating any chicks this year, as I decided to sell my incubator. However I hope to get some RIR's, Australorps, Barred Rocks and LF Cochins from a nearby breeder. I also plan to set any broody hens that I happen to have. What breeds are you thinking of getting if you do end up getting chicks?

Wow that is a lot of snow! If there is more than a few inches on the ground, my chickens don't like to come out either! The last few days have been very warm, and yesterday it got up to 60F! It felt so nice after the past few weeks of cold weather. My chickens were very active and excited to be out and about after spending so much time in the coop this past week. One of my barnyard game bantams hatched 6 chicks a few weeks ago, and yesterday I discovered another hen sitting on a clutch of 21 eggs! I doubt she will be able to sit on them all, but she is determined to try, so I will let her sit.

I'm glad to hear that I've been doing well, a bit chilly though. On wedsday we got an inch of snow, and than yesterday we got another half inch. It is also been really cold (teens and 20's) and of course one of our cows decided to calve on the coldest day of the year. Have you gotten any snow? How is your flock doing? I like your profile picture!
