Yep! I think she's my very youngest, too. She's so small, and I think she's nearing one-week old probably either today or tomorrow!

They're nearly 2 1/2 weeks old already! Growing up so stinkin' fast. Yeppers, these are Cackle Hatchery babies. I should create a chicken page for them.

Aww; I think my older ones are nearing that age, too! Lol, I suppose so, and although I like my little chicks, I'm excited for them to grow up! =)
Ooh, nice! I got my four oldest from my aunt--who got them at some sort of farm store, I believe--and the two younger ones from Orscheln's.

No, she got my four older ones...well, just because. She loves chickens and used to have some, but she works at a chicken place now, so she's not supposed to have some anymore. But I'm assuming their cuteness was too hard to pass up when she got them!

So then she offered them to us--and we weren't planning on getting chicks this early--but because we were planning on getting some soon during springtime, and it was a perfect opportunity...plus, my aunt really did need to rehome them...so she brought them to our house this Sunday, and at the same time we were also ending up helping her out a little, too. So it all worked out great!

And we wanted 5, but she only had 4, so when we stopped at Orscheln's on Saturday to pick up something, they had chicks, and we ended up getting 2, since my mom didn't want the one being alone even for one night before the others arrived the next day. (Sorry that got so long)!

I actually saw some bantams at another farm store, and wanted one, but my mom's like 'Nope'... I'm not sure I'll be able to do 'chicken math' like everyone else does, LOL.

Kinda an awkward stage, right? ;D How precious!! Awww, that's a shame...pretty sad you can't keep chickens AND work with them. My goodness, so it all worked out perfectly!!! I don't blame her, chickies are irresistible. <3 Can't have any lonely fwuffies!

Haha. Yeah; I think the reason being is because she works at a chicken 'farm/lab' where they do testing on them, so they need the birds healthy and can't have the 'employees bringing in possible "diseases"' from their own chickens.

Yep, I agree with you there! But, honestly, that's probably a good thing they're like that with me. I'm pretty much always open to getting new pets, LOL.
