Two more eggs today! Woot! We're gonna have them for breakfast tomorrow. They lay them around noon so we'll have two more tomorrow!! This is so awesome!
Another two eggs this morning.. late morning. It looks like the girls, Bok & Bach, have decided the left nest box is the best nest box. LOL It's the closest to the garage wall, so we're thinking that maybe the temperature in it is better or something like that. I've started keeping track of the eggs and what we're feeding them, including treat, in a notebook. We have 9 eggs now and will cook them for Father’s day.
I gave my chickens some slightly sour grapes today and they finished them off in short order! I also found TWO more eggs!! Now that's seven eggs since Sunday! Only one day that both didn't give us an egg. I"m very happy with that! And they are beautiful white, medium sized eggs. I'm waiting till Saturday to make us some breakfast with the eggs! Can't wait!!
In the last three days our new chickens have given us five eggs!! Pretty good I think! I guess they're getting adjusted to their new home just fine!
Total Newbie at this chicken thing. I was raised in Southern California in the big city and it shows! Now I'm trying my hand at self sufficiency and learning how to raise my own food! -
