What breeds were used in their development, and do they breed true. I note different colored chicks. Are they able to be sexed by chick color ?

I have 3 whiting true greens hens and one is Laying blue eggs and I had ordered 3 whiting true blue hens and revived 2 hens and one rooster he was beautiful but I had to find a new home for him.
