ok thanks, so it sounds like this breed is one of the more difficult to sex other than vent sexing which I don't believe I am qualified for. So only time will tell. I'll repost pics in few weeks then and we'll see.
The rooster doesn't normally run with the flock, and I believe he told me it was a Salmon roo not sure it was blue, the blue could have come from the hen. I was sent more eggs to replace the original batch and those all came out BLRW. I will def post pics of them later on as they get bigger
I got them from a private seller, I ordered blue laced wyandotte eggs and 2 came out favorelles,I contacted the seller and he told me that he also has a favorelle rooster so a few of the eggs accidentally got fertilized by him. As chicks they were yellow with a brown/black stripe on their back
??? I'm confused, I thought if they show red early on like this then they r roos, how can u tell so early? I only ask so I know what the heck I'm looking for
