The hen is, the chick isn't.
The chick is either going to be Kong x Solo. (Black Copper x Black Silver) depending on if the 2 wks didn't clear Solo out.
Or it will be Poppy x Solo. (Black Silver)
If I see Copper I'll know it's Kongs. Silver could sway either way unless it's female, then it's...
This one's iffy still but I'd guess male with that amount of Copper showing at that age. Typically females won't show copper for a few more weeks yet. I'm thinking its a late blooming cockerel as far as reddening of the comb. The size of the comb and Copper this early sways towards male.
Ended up with just the one little with Shadow. So I'll have to watch this one for Copper/Silver coming in.
For the record... I moved Solo from Kong in with Poppy on 6/14. Started collecting on 6/25.
6/27 hatched
6/25, 6/26, 6/28, 6/29, 6/31, 7/2, 7/4, 7/5, 7/7 were all clears.
I've got 6 more...
Looked Black but I don't think it was completely dried off hence my curiosity still of Sire. I was hoping to see Blue, that would solve both mysteries of it's Poppys and what he color he's hiding.
I'll get some better pics here shortly when I check on her.
Our first one has hatched from Solo and hopefully Poppy today. This egg was the 3rd of 10 I collected. I banded it red for curiosity if the 2 weeks away from Kong was enough to clear him out before collecting started.
