Thank you.
I did briefly consider a small ziptie, but the wire is a better fit.
The missing screw is a special machine bolt, technically, with a thin metal "nut" to hold it in place. I doubted I'd find anything similar in the hardware section. I could contact the company, to request a...
My Droll Yankee feeder dropped a screw that held part of the perches together. It's lost.
I improvised.
I ran a piece of wire through the holes where the screw had been. I used my needlenose pliers to twist the wire ends together until it was tight, then cut off the excess and tucked the ends...

The feeders come with a lifetime guarantee. I've had two of them about 20 years, just had to replace the plastic cylinder once.
And the wire I used for the repair came off a roll of...
In the past I have broken broodiness immediately, usually by repeatedly removing them from the nest, and taking away the faux eggs. If the broody hen is in the box at night I move her to the roost.

FYI: while Zack and Silas were sharing a coop Silas was fairly quiet, he was Second Roo. Now he's making up for it.
The neighbor who shares the property line on the back also has chickens, standards. His rooster is a deep bass. Silas and Zaccheus take turns responding in their tenor voices, but sometimes they crow in unison. That's when I comment "And now, in STEREO" 🤣🤣🤣
I'm planning to add perennials, mostly native to NC, to the north side of the property. I already transplanted some Rose of Sharon shrubs, to be a future privacy screen. I'll be adding some perennials in the autumn. Today I bought a couple Joe Pye weed plants.
They will attract pollinators, too.
I will add that this year's wonderful squash came from 2024 Baker Creek seeds, and the Lemon squash did well, too. But none of the lettuce seeds germinated.

Zaccheus' first molt, and his tail feathers are gone...how embarassing!
They like my chair... :lau
An aid for accessing the roost!
I scored another chain bucket at the hardware store, set up a brooder for Rahab. I hope she can use it...

I'm hoping I didn't goof up enough to...
