Farmers are permitted to deal with ‘feral’ dogs as they are for here. My neighbour has dealt with many such dogs. Tough lesson for city people to learn of their Shepard is out chasing the dairy herd.
Or my horses.
Good morning everyone
It’s horribly humid and sultry outside, 73F but feels like 88F.
Last night I treated the gang to some water park fun.
For Thirsty Thursday I give you some water babies

I feel like my silkies are having a harder time with this heat and...
Oh no! I hope your son had a chat with the owner, or called animal control.
This is why I don’t free range here unless I am watching them - crazy neighbours and their nutty dogs.
:hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs
I keep the head poof trimmed on my silkies so they can see. Mr P has the issue with one side of his crest sliding I’ve his left eye. I keep a close eye (yes pun intended) on that side to make sure he doesn’t have any infections or irritations from feathers in his eye.
I love the deep purple...
This has been my worry, but so far I have not noticed anyone laying eggs outside the barn. It’s just inside I have fun looking for eggs!
You and @RoyalChick have hens that lay eggs in very unusual places!
Good night all
It’s a hot steamy miserable evening here, and not a breath of wind at all.
I have the fans going full tilt to n the chooks and horses.
Blanche has captured the choice location in front of the box fan,
And I have the high velocity fan blowing air into the Hen House B and...
My gang is just hanging out in the barn, fans going for them and the horses. It’s not too bad in there.
Today I have 18 eggs. My young silkie pullet has finally decided to take the plunge and go broody. Silly girl, in this heat humidity and smoky air (wildfires).
Looks like the seed heads off the grasses. Right now the wild blackberries are starting to ripen here, Blanche has been feasting on those, and now the others also know they are there.
So do you know how many chicks there are? I have missed many pages so if you have stated already I apologize...
It sounds like they all three are doing extremely well with their handling. You are doing such a marvellous job! And getting young Vivvy to handle them also is genius!
