Fowl pox w secondary infection taking out my flock. Help 🥹

Great thank you! I separated the 3 and one more is head tucked and lethargic today. I fear I will loose them all. I think my dusty coop is to blame as well as the pox. I’m afraid to vaccinate the others with an active outbreak. It’s so sad to see them all slowly get infected. I’ll try to keep...

Fowl pox w secondary infection taking out my flock. Help 🥹

Thank you I have some. He only has those two tiny fowl pox spots. I did put betadine on the other two birds and it honestly didn’t seem to make a difference. I’m trying to prevent the spread of it. Inevitable they will all get it. Advice on what or how to clean the coop?

Fowl pox w secondary infection taking out my flock. Help 🥹

Yes i believe it’s fowl pox as well as something else, some secondary infection because I know fowl pox is viral. Mouth is clear on the polish, the only one of the three alive and was lethargic starting yesterday. I had a little yellow in the other two that passed away. I did sanitize waters and...

    Fowl pox recovery

Hi, I have a bird with fowl pox. It’s horrible. The bird got the fowl pox after an injury from another rooster. I didn’t realize what it was until late and then removed from the flock. He’s still eating, I’ve just been keeping him in a cage on my porch. Warm and dry. My question is, if he...

    Crusty chicken eye

Thanks so much for the info. I wish I could get pictures but it’s on two of my roosters. The one I’m referring to above I believe i caught it early. My other one I may have to cull. I think my salmon Faverolles got it from him. I’m treating both with anti fungal and terimycin in eyes. The both...

    Crusty chicken eye

Thank you! Yes I’ve also had roosters fight but never dealt with this either. I don’t have any pictures of his mouth. It doesn’t smell, i think whatever is going on I caught it early. I thought canker and wet pox were the same thing. What antibiotic would you recommend? Thanks

    Rooster breed?

My husband found this guy at his work. I thought he was a blue copper maran rooster but I now think he’s a mix because he doesn’t have feathers on his legs. And they are blue. He needs a home and I’d like to give people a more correct breed. Thank you!

    Curled D’Uccle feet

That is weird! I’ve had chicks with curled toes before but they were younger. I decided to get cardboard and splint them. Hopefully it helps. I wasn’t sure if there would be much help at 5 weeks

    Curled D’Uccle feet

I got a little porcelain D’Uccle from the feed store and I’ve had I’m assuming her for a couple weeks and just realized that her third toe on both feet curls in oddly. It’s not stiff or anything. In the past, I’ve had tiny chicks I have used cardboard to the feet. And I’m wondering if I should...

What is the sex of this silver button quail?

I raise silvers and male silvers have a pretty significant “bib” and rust color around the legs, vent. I agree it looks like you have a silver female. Congrats

    How old are my bantams?

Is it too early to sex these bantams. I have figured out the breeds but I’m in doubt that combs won’t start popping up soon. I have 5 total. The first picture is a straight comb golden sebright who is looking roo-ish. The others I think pullets. Probably around 4 weeks? So may be too soon to...
