Can you put a tarp over it, secured with bungee cords? Or use an old bed sheet inside to filter the light.

Regarding kombucha... I make my own. It is non-alcoholic. I can knock back a 16 oz bottle on an empty stomach and my 120 lb body does not even get to the "feeling good" stage.
The grocery store I shop at sells only the "may contain trace amounts of alcohol" kind of kombucha, and anyone can buy...
