He was eating a big bowl of kibbles so he was super happy. He was terrified and starving the night before when I found him. He scarfed down two cans of tuna fish that night and I went and bought him kitty food next morning.
We live way out in the country and sadly people have a habit of dumping unwanted pets out here ... Usually dogs. Last week when I got home from work around dusk I heard "mew mew mew" when I got out of my car. I started calling for kitty and he started to run away. I knelt down and called to him...
I just read the news that beloved Grumpy Cat passed away on Tuesday. I love that kitty, she makes me happy. This news makes me sad.

Yep he's a big guy! I got him when he was about 4 weeks old and he tripled in size in about 4 months. He's about 7 months old now. I haven't measured or weighed him, but I'm guessing him to be about 8 inches long (not including tail) and around 6 to 8 ounces!

I just happened upon this thread when searching pet rats. I prefer BYC to any other forms and have been posting about my pet rat Earl here ever since I got him ...I didnt want to leave BYC even after I quit keeping chickens. People here are so friendly so I prefer to stay here than look for rat...
I just stumbled across this thread and see it's really old but I'm curious if any of you still have ratties. I have an adorable rat named Earl and I love sharing stories and pics of him

I don't have kitties any more because I live in a literal tiny hose with no room for them. I miss them so much, but here's one of my favorite regular visitors to the little shop I work at. A sweet little sphynx.
