My older chickens are fairly tame. They come whenever I go near the tractor, to see if I have food or not. Most of them let me touch them. The younger ones (hatched under a broody) are not tame at all. They come for food, but if I try to touch them, they run away. If I do grab them (to hold)...
My family goes "year-round" but we take breaks throughout the year as needed. For example, we go camping in March/April every year, so we take a week off for that. We also take a couple of weeks off for a vacation in September/October. We take off other times, too, if we have a lot going on that...
A.T. Hagan :
In the past we've had Noodles - big EE rooster - and Thing One & Thing Two - Red Sex Links.
LOL! I see my clever name idea wasn't as original as I thought.
I've got Thing 1 (and his girlfriend Thing 2) They are both Seramas.
Nugget, Red Sex Link, who we hatched (he's the chick in my avatar)
and Fil-a (named after Chick-Fil-A) who was supposed to be a girl.
Okay, my parents are looking at it and they say it can't be stitched together. It looks like the feathers, skin and some muscle have been removed . Should I just clean it and leave it? Or should I just cull her?
