    Incubating eggs during Baytril ?!

Can you explain how it’s safe to incubate the eggs but not actually eat them? I mean - I was wondering if it would make the embryo weak or have birth defects.

    Incubating eggs during Baytril ?!

ok! Hen is on day 2 of Baytril. She has laid 2 eggs in the past 2 days. I know humans can’t consume the eggs for some time while the medicine is being given and is within the hens system. However, can incubate the eggs? I cracked and searched the two she has laid and they are both fertilized...

    Does this look normal?

She also has stopped mating with our rooster. He does his mating dance and she just walks away. She doesn’t squat for him anymore. Nonetheless, he still only hangs with her and not the other five. He definitely has a lot of patience.

    Does this look normal?

Yes. I started her on it today. She is super friendly but I can’t just go out and pick her up. The rooster doesn’t like that . I decided to give her the medicine early mornings and at nights-whiles she’s roosting. She is acting completely normal. Eating. Drinking. Running. Digging. But it’s...

    Does this look normal?

So if she’s eating/drinking and hasn’t laid an egg still...is it guaranteed that she will “eventually” die? Is death the end result - no matter what. ???

    Does this look normal?

Update- Still the same thing! I let her out yesterday (from being inside) and she hung with the others. The rooster was so happy to see her back. She is scratching and eating. She is even drinking water. She didn’t lay an egg yesterday. Nor did she lay one last night from the roost. She hasn’t...

    Does this look normal?

I did day before yesterday. But not last night. But it’s Sunday and she hasn’t laid an egg since last Saturday. Except for that soft shelled egg. Then there was all that yellow in her poop and that mass she pooped out. So there has to be something going on. She hasn’t been wheezing or breathing...

    Does this look normal?

She still hasn’t laid an egg. I allowed her to go outside yesterday, to monitor her, and she was walking around, ate a little but would stay back and hide. She got into the box yesterday and for like two hours tried for an egg. Which didn’t happen. I brought her back inside last night. Did...

    Does this look normal?

It’s more rubbery. And it’s kinda hollow inside. Like a mass it has yellow yolk looking stuff on it

    Does this look normal?

Yes. I just went to check on her and she had pooped/laid a RUBBER looking mass. I don’t mean like a rubber balloon. Instead it was like an off-White/tan mass and it had some egg yolk in it. Wasn’t a typical soft shell that I’ve seen before. Also, there is some yellow when she poops. She pooped...

    Does this look normal?

She is around 40 weeks old. I didn’t feel an egg inside, but I did feel something that felt knotty in her lower stomach. She has been eating and is still eating normal. Today, was the first day she didn’t really run around the yard. Though active, she just wasn’t her normal self. She is inside...
