    Talking of keeping coops clean, for the last year I used straw on the bottom of our coop. BUT this year I'm thinking of using pine shaving instead. Any thoughts on this? If I do how often to change? We have 3 hens laying 4 chicks a raising :) Thanks

    I'm curious, what do people do that raise chicks and then find out they have a rooster? We don't want any roosters. We just got 2 Brahma chicks two days ago.
