Glad I seen your post, as I want to eat affected rooster as well. Its heart breaking to kill him , so I don't want to waste. At least he will serve the poultry purpose, kinda logic.
Well, a whole month later of nursering our rooster in the house with spoon feeding/drinking him and washing his eyes we thinks it is mycoplasma. Which is bacterial disease and says he is now carrier forever.

Rooster is isolated inside the house (because its rediculously baltic still outside to be on his own) for over two weeks now. Husband was washing his eyes and giving water daily. Yesterday we guided roosters head into bowl of water and he started drinking himself. He cannot see, just...
We have nestera coops with correct ventilation. Weather is brutal for them this winter. Sub zero, then warm. Then sub zero again. Sometimes they pack in one coop so its a bit crowded. But we clean it regularly, every 3 days or so. Shouldn't be building up too much ammonia
